Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was lovely overall. The rooms were exactly as shown on the website and very clean. The four-poster bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was impressive with a roll-top bath and rainforest shower. The price was quite reasonable, especially when factoring in breakfast.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were lovely and very comfortable, and the included breakfast, especially the full English, was top-notch. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who took care of everything. The location was perfect for an overnight stay while traveling, close to the river and with easy access to Oxford. The dining experience was particularly good with a fabulous full English breakfast. The hotel facilities were up to standard.
The hotel is wonderfully clean and fresh with period touches in a beautiful setting. The unusual breakfast menu is a standout. The service is extremely helpful and accommodating, making for a very nice experience. The location is fantastic for exploring Abingdon but could use a bit of tidying up. The dining options are excellent, though prices could be steep. The overall stay offers great value with some minor downsides to consider.
Staying on the top floor gave me a sense of adventure, though navigating the layout sometimes felt like a mini expedition. The rooms overlook the bustling main street, which, despite attempts at soundproofing, could be a bit noisy. Not the best choice for light sleepers due to the continuous traffic din. The interior was a bit dim, accentuated by dark decor and some wear and tear issues like chipped paint.
My stay at the hotel was a bit mixed. While the rooms were exceptionally small and had a bit of a brown color scheme, they were very cozy with a nice bathroom.
